What to do in and around Llanberis
The Kent Mountain Centre (KMC) is situated in Snowdonia near the village of Llanberis (Grid ref 570611) on the A4086. It is overlooked by Snowdon, the highest mountain peak in England and Wales. It is set in four acres of woodland and on the shore of Llyn (Lake) Padarn. The County Town of Caernarfon is only seven miles away.

Local Quarries and Mines
The industrial heritage of North Wales has been turned quite successfully into a major tourist attraction. There are guided tours around the Dinorwic underground power station and the slate quarry museum in Llanberis. Llechwedd slate mine and Sygun Copper Mines are also fascinating and both can easily occupy half a day. For further details:
