WHAT WE PROVIDE
The Lodge is fully equipped with drying facilities, kitchen, showers, toilets, telephone and central heating. The sleeping accommodation is divided into three rooms of six, four and two bunks. We provide duvets and all bed linen. Basic outdoor equipment is also included in the hire charge. Specialist equipment such as canoes and ropes are not for hire although if KMC instructors are booked, then this equipment is included in the hire charge.

TRANSPORT
If a group is travelling from Kent, seats may be available on the KMC coach, which runs nearly every week. Further details about this are available on request. A minibus can be provided for groups with a mileage allowance, however drivers must confirm to KCC regulations and be in possession of a valid minibus driver's certificate.

A CHOICE OF COURSES
The week at KMC usually runs from Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning, although we can be flexible. Bookings in the Lodge are usually self catering, although we can provide meals if given notice. A group can plan and run all their activities themselves subject to the approval of the Principal Instructor or they can choose to buy in our instructors for part or all of the week. We also run specialist courses in rock climbing, canoeing and mountain leadership. Further details about these are available on request.

PROGRAMME WITH YOUNG PEOPLE
The intended programme should be sent to the Principal Instructor no less than six weeks before the date of the start of the visit. All activities with young people must conform to the KCC document, 'Management and leadership of Offsite Work'. Group leaders working with young people must be appropriately qualified for the activities they propose to undertake. Group size and Instructor ratio must also be taken into account when planning a visit. Activities which involve the use of a KMC instructor are limited to a total group size of twelve (including Instructor). Certain activities (eg climbing and canoeing) may need a higher instructor ratio. Advice will be given on this upon receipt of a planned programme.
