Kent Mountain Centre is in Wales and is open to groups from schools and youth organisations from anywhere in the country. KMC provides adventurous activities for young people in a residential setting. The centre is also an ideal base for fieldwork courses. We are happy to work with visiting leaders to design courses to meet their particular curriculum targets. KMC holds an AALS licence, indicating that a thorough safety inspection of the programme provision has taken place, and also an LOTC (Learning Outside the Classroom) badge demonstrating the quality of educational provision.

altThe teaching staff are competent in leading all the adventurous activities undertaken and hold the appropriate NGB awards in addition to their educational qualifications. We pride ourselves on our safety record and on the degree of care afforded to our customers.

IntroductionWe are situated on the shores of Lake Padarn at the foot of Snowdon and can accommodate up to forty-five young persons plus leaders in a single group. For every nine young persons, one group leader comes free of charge. We can also now take youngsters with mobility difficulties utilising our new accessible bedroom. Please note that the ground floor of KMC is also now wheelchair accessible.

Our package prices include board, accommodation, use of outdoor clothing and equipment, instruction or staff support as required and minibus transport to activity venues. The packages usually run from Sunday (arrival) to Saturday (departure) but shorter visits and visits at other times of the week are also possible. We can sometimes help visitors to arrange transport to the centre and back home at the end of their visit.
